Job Summary
Continuing Care Assistants (CCAs) in the Eastern Zone of Nova Scotia provide care across long-term care and home care settings as part of an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include assisting clients with personal care activities (bathing, dressing, grooming), light housekeeping, helping with meals and snacks, providing respite for families and caregivers, documentation (reports, progress notes, incident reports), and engaging residents and families in leisure and recreational programs. Requires Provincial Continuing Care Assistant Certification and includes potential opportunities across the province with compensation dependent on employer and CCA status.
Required Qualifications
- Provincial Continuing Care Assistant Certification
- Persons with related education and/or work experience and are enrolled in or are eligible to be enrolled in CCA RPL Program
- Students in nursing, CCA programs, and international educated nurses will be considered.
