Job Summary
Contingent Nurse Practitioner position at Honor Community Health in Oakland County, MI, providing primary medical care within a walk-in clinic as part of an integrated care team. The NP collaborates with the integrated practice team to manage health problems, coordinate quality primary care, and deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to underserved populations. Responsibilities include clinical management, CPT/ICD coding, and efficient use of electronic health records, with a focus on creating an excellent patient experience in a fast-paced environment. Requirements include graduation from an accredited NP program, Family or Pediatric certification, Michigan license, BLS and ACLS, board certification at hire, and 1+ year NP experience, plus ability to obtain Medicaid/Medicare credentials and participate in credentialing. Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Must have a current Nurse Practitioner certification in the Family or Pediatric specialty area
- Must possess a current and valid license to practice medicine issued by the State of Michigan
- Must possess current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Must be board certified at hire and will be expected to maintain appropriate board certification, licensure, and membership in professional organizations
- Eligible to obtain and maintain credentials as a Medicaid and Medicare provider
- 1+ years of progressive experience as a Nurse Practitioner
- Experience with CPT and ICD coding
- Knowledge of and experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
