Job Summary

Develop youth treatment/service plans in Cuyahoga and Lorain counties by interacting with adolescents and families to build supportive relationships and achieve identified goals. Provide oversight for one-on-one activities, engage clients, document conversations, and submit paperwork for billing. Identify community resources for youth development and offer transportation to and from outside locations as needed. Requires a valid driver's license, reliable personal transportation, and availability for after-school hours, evenings, and weekends. This direct, hands-on opportunity with the National Youth Advocate Program offers flexibility and mileage reimbursement for those seeking experience in mental and behavioral health advocacy.

Required Qualifications

  • Associates Degree, Bachelor's Degree or enrollment in an accredited Associates or Bachelor's Program; Preferred, GED or High School Diploma; Required
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable personal transportation
  • Good driving record
  • Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability
  • Working, reliable telephone
  • Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs
  • Daily travel required with the willingness to meet clients on a flexible schedule or during non-traditional hours if needed
  • Availability for after school hours, evenings and weekends
