Job Summary
Foster social and emotional competencies and mental well-being in a safe, inclusive environment while learning PAL curricula to ensure lesson plans meet funder requirements. Provide professional development to frontline staff in classroom management, behavior management, and activity facilitation during orientations, weekly meetings, and trainings. Observe and evaluate program implementation, offering feedback and coaching to ensure alignment with strategic objectives, SACC regulations, and contractual obligations. Coordinate with site partners and leadership to grow creative programming opportunities, collect program data, and drive data-driven recommendations. Support Group Leaders in implementing support plans for students with IEPs and provide mediation and troubleshooting. Work 9 hours weekly (3 days) between 3:00-6:00 in the Bronx, reporting directly to the Program Director.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Child Development, Education, Youth Development or a related field
- A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated successful experience in curriculum development and/or implementation, observation, training, and coaching, classroom teaching, and supervision
- Microsoft office skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel to any PAL location in the 5 Boroughs (for Professional Development days)
- Available for training opportunities outside of program hours
- This position is for 9 hours a week (3 days a week, 3 hours each day) between the hours of 3:00-6:00
- Employment with PAL is contingent upon successful completion of all the Agency's lawful pre-employment checks, which may include a background check
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Familiarity with SACC regulations and DYCD funding requirements
- Bi-lingual in Spanish, French, or Chinese
