Job Summary
Produce and edit newscasts for broadcast and streaming across linear and digital platforms; collaborate with Executive Producers and Show Producers to deliver fair, accurate and impactful coverage, including pitching enterprise story ideas; write and edit content across platforms, check scripts for accuracy and grammar, and craft engaging teases for dynamic newscasts; edit video using Dalet and Adobe Premiere; assist in the control room and back up line producing as needed; requires 5+ years of daily newscast producing in a major market, a B.A. or equivalent, strong writing/editing skills, proficiency with newsroom systems, willingness to work nights/weekends/holidays, and eligibility to work in the U.S.; location is Los Angeles, CA (Universal City) on-site.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years producing a daily newscast in a major market
- B.A. degree or equivalent experience in Journalism & Communications, or related field
- Strong writing, producing and desktop editing skills with the ability to write on deadline with speed and accuracy
- Proficiency with newsroom production systems and broadcast technology
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
