Job Summary
Upload content across National Geographic's YouTube portfolio, including full episodes, livestreams, shorts, and trailers. Execute end-to-end publishing workflows for titles, descriptions, metadata, tags, chapters, thumbnails, and end screens. Maintain and update metadata fields while ensuring accuracy, quality control, and timely delivery of all published content. Troubleshoot publishing, CMS, or platform issues and provide feedback on tools and workflows. Serve as the operational contact for YouTube/Google partners and internal stakeholders regarding claims and monetization. Collaborate with Programming, Post Production, Marketing, and Digital teams to execute content plans and support promotional campaigns. Stay current on platform trends, algorithm shifts, and emerging features to implement YouTube best practices across all channels.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years' experience working with creative teams
- Self-starter with the ability to multi-task, prioritize workflow and work well in a fast-paced environment
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
- Ability to learn new systems quickly and work independently
- Demonstrated experience with Airtable
- Demonstrated experience with YouTube Studio
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office suite
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Teams
- Demonstrated experience with Vantage
- Must have strong customer solutions/client relation skills
- Ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects while remaining calm under pressure
- Proficient with Mac and PC computers
- Expertise in file types and how to optimize content for digital platforms
- Interest and awareness for National Geographic programming
- Bachelor's degree in media related field or equivalent work experience
