Content Moderator, Bilingual English/German

Job Summary
Read, assess, and apply applicable codes to large quantities of user-generated content posted to client websites, including text, images, and videos in English and German. Regularly review performance feedback to minimize coding errors and meet metrics, while attending scheduled 1-on-1 coaching calls and checking in on unscheduled days. Utilize Google Applications and Slack to manage expectations, and perform quality assurance checks on teammates and machine-moderated content. Participate in an initial four-week paid training program covering online modules, exams, and virtual coaching. Commit to a semi-flexible schedule of 16 to 29 hours per week, with four weekend hours required between Saturday and Sunday.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and German with professional-level fluency (written and spoken)
- Earned a bachelor's degree or equivalent international credential
- 7+ years of professional content moderation experience
- MUST live in and have authorization to work in the United States
- MUST be a resident of one of these states: TX (preferred and priority state), AR, FL, GA, IL, NC or OH
- 3+ years of experience working in a fast-paced office environment
- Able to swiftly read, comprehend and assess content, and make on the spot decisions
- Highly comfortable with learning and utilizing new web-based applications and tools
- Excel at actively engaging with team members in a remote environment
- Commit to taking ownership of your job performance to achieve or exceed performance benchmarks and metrics
- Consistently committed to working a semi-flexible schedule of 16-29 hours per week
- 4 of those hours must be between Saturday at 12:01 AM and 11:59 PM on Sunday
- Possess a computer with up-to-date operating system, an up-to-date smartphone and strong, reliable high-speed Internet; a highly functioning home office is required
- Must reside in the United States
- Must be available for weekend shifts (Saturday and/or Sunday)
Desired Qualifications
- Someone who has successfully completed an online college course or similar exercise, and is able to apply concepts learned to real-world scenarios is an ideal candidate
