Content Moderator, Bilingual English/French

Job Summary

Read, assess, and apply applicable codes to large quantities of user-generated content in English and French, including text, images, and videos posted to client websites. Work steadily in a queue environment to minimize coding errors while meeting performance metrics. Attend scheduled 1-on-1 coaching calls and perform quality assurance checks on teammate and machine-moderated content. Commit to a semi-flexible schedule of 16 to 29 hours per week, with four required weekend hours between Saturday and Sunday. Complete a four-week initial training program involving online modules, exams, and live hands-on moderation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and French with professional-level fluency (written and spoken)
  • Earned a bachelor's degree or equivalent international credential or 7+ years of professional content moderation experience
  • Proven professional working proficiency in English and professional-level proficiency in French
  • MUST live in and have authorization to work in the United States
  • MUST be a resident of one of these states: TX (preferred and priority state), AR, FL, GA, IL, NC or OH
  • 3+ years of experience working in a fast-paced office environment
  • Able to swiftly read, comprehend and assess content, and make on the spot decisions
  • Highly comfortable with learning and utilizing new web-based applications and tools
  • Excel at actively engaging with team members in a remote environment
  • Commit to taking ownership of your job performance to achieve or exceed performance benchmarks and metrics
  • Consistently committed to working a semi-flexible schedule of 16-29 hours per week
  • 4 of those hours must be between Saturday at 12:01 AM and 11:59 PM on Sunday
  • Willingness to provide quality assurance checks of other teammates and machine-moderated content
  • Possess a computer with up-to-date operating system, an up-to-date smartphone and strong, reliable high-speed Internet; a highly functioning home office is required
  • Must reside in the United States
  • Must be available for weekend shifts (Saturday and/or Sunday)
  • Must be able to work 16 hours each week
  • Must be able to flex up to work up to 29 hours per week
  • Must be able to check-in on days not scheduled to work
  • Must be able to handle content in both English and French
  • Must be able to read, analyze and apply codes to large quantities of user generated content
  • Must be able to review performance feedback to minimize coding errors, and to meet or exceed performance metrics
  • Must be able to attend 1-on-1 coaching calls as scheduled and as needed
  • Must be able to utilize Google Applications: Mail, Calendar, Meet, Sheets, Docs
  • Must be able to utilize online communication tools (Slack) and forums
  • Must be able to work from home
  • Must be able to handle content that is deeply disturbing and illegal defined as text, images, or video that suggest or contain evidence of violence to children, child sexual abuse, serious crime or serious threats of violence

Desired Qualifications

  • Someone who has successfully completed an online college course or similar exercise, and is able to apply concepts learned to real-world scenarios is an ideal candidate
  • TX (preferred and priority state)
