Job Summary
Oversee daily operational tasks and personnel for the Content Insertion department, including setting up and maintaining operation sheets and trackers. Confirm operator setups and supervise events from start to finish, operating events without active slating requirements as needed. Coordinate with supporting departments to troubleshoot routine and unexpected issues, manage schedule changes, and escalate problems during streaming events. Ensure proper functionality across Disney+ and Hulu by monitoring all events under purview. This supervising role supports the global content supply chain for Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology, managing operations in Latin America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
Required Qualifications
- 4 years of experience as operator or similar role in live streaming operations
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays, including evenings and overnight
- Must have fast internet and a quiet environment to work in
- Basic computer proficiency including common word processors, spreadsheets, and communication applications such as Microsoft Teams and email
- Exceptional communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to learn new tasks quickly and solve problems
- Ability to multitask and prioritize actions in a fast-paced, hectic production environment
- Familiarity with major sports and the ability to pick up new sports and other live event structures on the fly
- Familiarity with some of the company's live streaming platforms
- High School diploma or equivalent experience
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a supervising role
- Familiarity with some video editing software
- Strong computer skills including a working knowledge of Mac OS and Microsoft Office
- Experience in a live production environment
