Job Summary
Own the content strategy for the Mobiles vertical, deciding what gets written, refreshed, or retired based on performance data, commercial priorities, and competitive gaps. Write and edit high-quality content across deal pages, guides, reviews, and news, using AI to accelerate research and production while owning editorial judgement. Act as a subject-matter voice for press comment, reactive spokesperson opportunities, and on-camera content. Keep high-traffic pages current and competitive, proactively acting before being asked. Brief and manage freelance contributors, maintaining quality and brand standards. Monitor SEO and GEO visibility, tracking keyword rankings and AI search presence to feed strategy. Optimize content for AI-generated search experiences like Google AI Overviews in collaboration with PR and SEO teams. Work within an AI-assisted content workflow to speed up research, briefing, and performance monitoring.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a digital content editor or journalist
- Experience in an agile, commercially focused environment
- A track record of writing clearly and accurately on complex or technical topics
- Genuine curiosity about AI and how it's changing content
- Experience integrating AI tools into your workflow
- A clear view on where AI tools help and where human judgement is essential
- A solid understanding of SEO fundamentals
- Understanding of how SEO is shifting in the era of AI-generated search
- Understanding of how people read and engage with content online
- Ability to think about structure, scannability and what a user actually needs from a page
- The ability to work autonomously and to deadline
- Experience managing freelancers or contributors
- Editorial judgement to give clear, useful feedback
- Comfort working across teams including product, commercial and PR
- Confidence representing the content perspective confidently in conversations with product, commercial and PR teams
