Job Summary
Design and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports by building solutions from scratch, optimizing performance, and integrating data from Excel, SharePoint, and cloud platforms. Develop robust data models using star schema and normalization while writing advanced DAX and M scripts. Implement Row-Level Security, manage workspace permissions, and troubleshoot refresh failures or connectivity issues. Gather business requirements, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and document data models and development processes. This six-month contract with Southern Company Services in Atlanta requires hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop and Service, DAX, and Power Query.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience with Power BI Desktop
- Proven experience with Power BI Service
- Strong proficiency in DAX
- Strong proficiency in M language
- Experience developing dashboards and reports independently
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- High attention to detail and adherence to reporting standards
