Job Summary
Analyze, design, and develop high-quality training curriculum, including eLearning modules, facilitator guides, and job aids to support organizational learning. Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructors, and stakeholders to define learning objectives and ensure materials meet system requirements and accessibility standards. Manage project timelines, upload course documentation to SharePoint and LMS, and maintain existing content based on customer needs. Execute project plans independently while researching innovative learning technologies for continuous improvement. This onsite role at the Energy Center in Birmingham, AL, supports Southern Company Services' training initiatives within a collaborative professional environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred)
- Experience with instructional authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360) and multimedia/animation software
- Experience managing projects and meeting deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and relationship-management skills
Desired Qualifications
- Training experience (formal or informal) in: Power generation
- Training experience (formal or informal) in: Power delivery or transmission
- Training experience (formal or informal) in: Construction or related industries
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, narration software, and AI-enabled instructional design tools
- Experience or proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Experience working in collaborative, team-oriented environments with minimal supervision
