Job Summary
Structure business problems into distinct data analyses and ensure accurate, timely delivery of insights to Legal Content directors. Communicate findings through compelling charts and presentations to influence strategic decisions, while building and iteratively improving dashboards to enable self-serve answers. Develop and automate reports to monitor key metrics effectively, using strong analytical capabilities to improve data feed quality and build robust, version-controlled analyses. Apply SQL or Python for scripting, leverage AWS big data architecture for ETL and Redshift, and utilize business intelligence tools like Tableau or PowerBI. Work within a flexible hours schedule supporting a global team of over 2,000 technologists in the legal market.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of related experience pulling data from a variety of large datasets and using statistics to arrive at an insight
- Strong applied knowledge of either SQL or Python for data analysis and scripting
- Strong business judgment and a deep interest in data, metrics and analysis
- Curious and structured problem-solver who is keen to challenge the status quo
- Great team player with excellent communication skills
- Understanding of web analytics (DOM, CSS, HTML)
- Experience with AWS big data architecture (e.g. ETL, AWS Redshift, Sagemaker)
- Experience with business intelligence reporting tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI)
- Experience with AI tools (e.g. Claude, OpenAI, Databricks Genie AI)
- Knowledge of good data governance and various data warehouse methodologies
