Job Summary
Content and Visualization Lead/Communications Specialist will drive the Hub’s public- and stakeholder-facing outputs for the Department of Labor project, translating complex analytical findings into accessible written and visual materials, developing data visualizations and dashboards (Tableau/Power BI), and producing one-pagers, fact sheets, and presentation materials for policymakers, businesses, education and workforce stakeholders, and the public. The role requires strong analytical writing, experience communicating to audiences of varying technical capacity, and the ability to tailor dissemination of quantitative research. A bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree is preferred. The position emphasizes data-driven content grounded in research and labor-market/workforce considerations, with collaboration across researchers and government staff.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience in policy communications, analytical writing, evidence translation, public-facing content development, or related work
- Demonstrated experience communicating complex information to audiences of varying technical capacity
- Demonstrated experience developing written and visual materials grounded in data, research, or other analytical material
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Experience with tailoring or supporting dissemination of quantitative research materials to different audiences
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred in related field
- Experience supporting website-ready materials and short-form communications materials
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and policy/government contexts preferred
