Job Summary
Load, unload, and move containers using a forklift or hoist while managing Gate In/Gate Out processes. Conduct container surveys and grading for Cargo Worthy and IICL compliance. Liaise with transport companies and truck drivers to maintain a safe, organized yard. Adhere to Health & Safety policies and procedures throughout operations. This hands-on role suits individuals who enjoy working outdoors and maintaining high standards within our Auckland branch, supporting our nationwide intermodal network's growth. Forklift experience is advantageous, though training can be provided.
Required Qualifications
- Candidates must have legal rights to work in New Zealand
Desired Qualifications
- Forklift experience is an advantage (training and licensing can be provided for the right applicant)
- IICL Surveyor Certification or extensive container survey experience is highly desirable
- Experience in the container industry is beneficial but not essential
- Basic computer skills are an advantage
- A motivated, reliable and self-driven attitude
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and a positive work ethic
- A commitment to safety and quality
