Container Surveyor (Days)

Container Surveyor (Days) role based in Southampton. You will survey containers received in damaged condition, reposition units under the Maintenance & Repair (M&R) Department, and place them to the correct area safely. Use bespoke in-house systems to survey and estimate damage, prepare containers for customer bookings, and train using the in-house systems. Responsibilities include completing estimates, ensuring information is accurate and submitted promptly, maintaining health and safety standards, and working alongside M&R Container Surveyor Supervisor and yard staff to meet service levels. The role requires a strong health and safety mindset, a full UK driving licence, and a proactive, “can do” attitude. DBS check will be conducted for successful applicants. This is a permanent, full-time position with a 50-hour week on a rotating schedule between 5am and 9pm, Monday through Friday.
