Container Shop Welder

Job Summary
Weld steel and aluminum components using MIG and ARC welding equipment; fabricate steel components using a brake and shear; cut steel with a plasma cutter or torch; fabricate components for hoppers, containers and compactors; install lids and wheels on containers; paint repaired containers; follow safety policies, complete required paperwork, and install company decals on containers and roll-off boxes; refer more complex repairs to the Supervisor; requires certification as a welder and advanced knowledge of welding equipment; strong communication skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Certified welder
- Advanced knowledge of MIG and stick welders, plasma cutter, and airless paint sprayers
- Familiar with basic use of hand tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow directions with minimal supervisory involvement
- Minimum of 1 year welding experience OR COMPLETION OF A WELDING PROGRAM.
