Job Summary
Manage settlements and pleadings by responding to emails and telephonic communications from opposing counsel and consumers. Access and act upon communications sent to the firm regarding settlements while accurately documenting the firm's system of record (CLS). Provide sent and received emails to designated staff as required. Exercise independent judgment to apply expert knowledge of Federal and State collection laws, ensuring files are documented properly in accordance with company policies. Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Office Products and maintain a typing speed of 40 words per minute.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate
- admittance to Illinois Bar
- ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
- Expert knowledge of all applicable Federal and State collection laws
- Ability to accurately type 40 words per minute
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Above average spelling and grammar
- Demonstrated ability to think independently and use good judgment
- Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
- Analytical problem-solving skills
- Understand Company and Client policies and procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Additional licenses in BG states
- Court room experience
- Collections Law experience
