Job Summary

Full-Time Contact Center Specialist I at Mercantile Bank, based in Wyoming, MI or Alma, MI, with in-office training and potential for hybrid work after the training period. You will be the first point of contact for customers, handling inquiries across phone, email, and messaging, and receiving training on Online Banking, Bill Pay, and bank products. Daily duties include managing tasks from the Call Center Supervisor, verifying transfers and payments, staying compliant with regulations and bank policies, providing constructive feedback, and escalating calls when necessary. The role requires strong sales and customer service skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, adaptability in a fast-paced environment, and meticulous organizational skills. Education of a high school diploma or GED and 1-3 years of customer service experience are preferred; experience in the financial industry and in a customer service center is a plus. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week with varying hours and a Saturday rotation.
