Job Summary
Maintain consumer charts, manage registration, schedule appointments, and process copays while assisting patients during clinic visits. Enter daily data including demographics, provider updates, and account admissions; run reports on scheduled appointments and review charts from storage or post-acute providers. Verify insurance eligibility, collect payments, and reconcile daily cash logs for Clinic and Pharmacy. Ensure all paper documents are batched for scanning and forward requests for information to centralized locations. Assist staff with electronic medical record applications and participate in quality improvement teams for customer service monitoring.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Computer training
- customer service training
- medical records organization skills
- Must be able to type 40 wpm
- Must be able to work with diverse populations
