Job Summary
Conduct operational and risk support and training for branch staff, providing guidance on procedures to ensure adherence to Bank policy and regulatory requirements. Coach personnel on problem-solving and self-sufficiency while supporting fraud prevention initiatives and liaising with internal fraud departments. Maintain thorough knowledge of the audit process and escalate risk-related issues, behaviors, or concerns to appropriate partners for action. Respond to large losses and robberies by managing on-site follow-up and ensuring required security checklists are complete. Facilitate regular meetings with branch partners and leadership to deliver presentations on operational changes and procedures. Manage implementation of operational tasks for new branch openings, consolidations, and relocations. Work extensively with Retail Risk Management, Security, HR, and other departments on policy and procedural issues. Schedule on-site and virtual branch visits within required timeframes, promoting an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 3 years' proven and progressive branch and/or audit experience
- In lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years' higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 3 years' proven and progressive branch, operations and/or audit experience
- Demonstrated interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical & technical skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Ability to maintain strong working relationships with management and branch staff
- Ability to spend a significant amount of time traveling to and working in assigned branch locations
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent presentation skills (creating, facilitating and delivering.)
- Candidates must be able to work in Old Port ME and Portsmouth NH
- 4 days in the office and 1 day remote (on call on Saturdays)

Desired Qualifications
