Consumer Loan Underwriter

Job Summary
Underwrite consumer loan applications and decisions, reviewing qualifications and communicating underwriting decisions and any issues. Maintain professional relations with dealer partners and internal teams, explain credit policies, obtain additional applicant information and documentation as needed, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Performs timely, accurate review and decisioning of direct and indirect consumer loans, supporting borrowers and the credit union’s member experience with clear explanations and a focus on service excellence.
Required Qualifications
- A high school degree or equivalent required
- Two to five years of progressive experience in lending related positions
