Job Summary
Originate and renew consumer loans by performing thorough credit analysis, evaluating loan structures, and monitoring compliance with agreements. Administer loans through overdraft monitoring, field audits, and collateral evaluations while maintaining contact with borrowers and working with collectors to resolve delinquencies. Assist customers with deposit accounts, cross-sell banking products, and provide notary services as needed. Comply with all regulatory requirements and maintain strict confidentiality of customer data. Support Community Reinvestment Act efforts through business development. Requires current NMLS registration, valid driver's license, and ability to travel up to 50% by automobile.
Required Qualifications
- Three years to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
- A two-year college degree.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Must possess current valid driver's license.
- Position is required to register and maintain current Mortgage Loan Originator registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) as required by law.
- Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance to accomplish essential job functions including in-person contact with internal and external customers.
- Must be capable of up to 50% travel (e.g. 2 weeks or 10 days per month) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities.
- Travel will be necessary to conduct the duties of this job, and the employee must have the ability to drive and have proper licensing.
- Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators.
- Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary.
- Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management.
- Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.
- Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push, and pull.
- Must be able to lift or reach with hands and arms.
- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
