Consumer Lending Operations Specialist

Job Summary
Prepare, review, fund, and complete all Consumer Loan Transactions by verifying critical documents prior to funding and ensuring post-funding submission. Serve as the primary liaison from approval through the full loan lifecycle, resolving escalations, coordinating documentation, and managing operational communications with stakeholders, retail partners, and dealers. Conduct quality assurance audits, disburse loan proceeds, and file UCC-1 financing statements to ensure lien perfection and regulatory compliance. Process vehicle titles, registrations, and plates, while initiating welcome calls and sorting daily applications to support pipeline efficiency. Refer matters beyond authority to management and recommend process improvements. Occasional Saturday work on a rotational basis.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one (1) – two (2) years of experience working in lending or banking-related roles
- Bondable
- Full-Time, Hourly (non-exempt) role
- Occasional Saturday work on a rotational basis
- Ability to occasionally lift items weighing up to 25 pounds
- Knowledge of consumer lending regulations
- Knowledge of all Home Equity, Home Equity Line of Credit, Consumer Line of Credit, and Consumer Closed-End loans
- Knowledge of Wellby's organizational functions, and general operating policies and procedures
- Knowledge of general office practices and procedures, business English, spelling, and punctuation
- Knowledge of personal computers, utilizing Microsoft Office Suite and other software
- Ability to manage assigned workload to ensure timely completion of departmental responsibilities
- Ability to analyze and apply regulatory requirements impacting Credit Union operations
- Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with exceptional member service skills
