Consumer Digital Data Scientist

Job Summary
Create and validate conversion files for consumer digital banking, managing data architecture, reporting operations, and recurring data validation. Support UAT execution by preparing test files, researching defects, and coordinating with internal and vendor teams to ensure accurate monthly interest calculations and deposit pricing optimization. Monitor data feeds, troubleshoot discrepancies, and merge reconciliation data to maintain quality before operational use. Build ad-hoc analyses and document processes to support auditability and continuity. This role focuses on the next six months of the Digital Banking transformation program within Western Alliance Bank's consumer digital division.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of related experience in Complex Financial Modeling & Model Mgmt. or similar field
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices
- Expert knowledge of SQL
- Expert knowledge of Excel
- Expert knowledge of Tableau or other data reporting experience including automating reporting
- Advanced knowledge of Data Analysis with both small and large datasets and statistical modeling coursework or experience
- Advanced speaking and writing communication skills
- Occasional travel
