Job Summary

Enter and update consumer demographic and diagnostic information, identify coding errors, and produce verified reports. Screen new and transfer-in cases through statewide databases to avoid duplication, assign UCI numbers, and input case status. Assemble documents for electronic records, key data from Consumer Information Forms, and input ICD-10-CM codes and function levels. Verify Change of Status Forms, reconcile monthly transactions, and generate statistical reports within two work days. Process consumer correspondence and coordinate filing assignments while maintaining compliance with agency guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of clerical work
  • 12 months experience of file and record maintenance
  • Experience processing documents requiring accurate and rapid handling
  • Ability to follow oral and written direction
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Full use of an automobile
  • Possession of a valid California driver's license
  • Liability insurance for the minimum amount prescribed by law
  • Ability to provide for independent transportation
  • Must have and maintain a safe driving record
  • Ability to handle change well
  • Be flexible and adaptable in dealing with interruptions, new priorities, and new assignments
  • Maintain good attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to handle a hybrid work environment consisting of working in the office and remotely at home while maintaining work productivity and efficiency
  • Communicate via telephone calls, video conference calls, emails, and chat rooms
  • Utilize agency's IT systems as assigned
  • Maintain security and follow agency's protocol and procedures, rules, and requirements
  • Attend training sessions as required
  • Comply with and ensure program compliance with agency's Personnel Policies and Procedures
  • Maintain required clerical skill level
  • Seek to maintain and expand relevant knowledge base
  • Work cooperatively and effectively with others
  • Perform as a member of the team
  • Answer questions, share expertise and contribute to the harmony of the team
  • Use office equipment appropriately
  • Report the need for any repairs
