Job Summary

Lead the Consumer Banking product controller function, setting vision, priorities, and execution standards for financial, regulatory, and product accounting. Direct the monthly close process, oversee general ledger reconciliation, and develop accounting flows for deposit products to ensure GAAP accuracy. Implement policy interpretations, manage regulatory reporting schedules, and drive end-to-end control design for new product initiatives. Partner with Product, Technology, and senior stakeholders to streamline workflows and present complex insights. Build and develop a cohesive team of nine, fostering strong communication and risk discipline while managing multiple complex priorities.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in a controller, product control, or financial services finance role
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a comparable field
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and the ability to interpret policy for consistent GAAP reporting
  • Strong control mindset with rigorous attention to detail and risk escalation judgment
  • Ability to execute effectively by rapidly grasping concepts, building plans, and delivering measurable results
  • Ability to communicate clearly and build strong working relationships across functions, locations, and businesses
  • Ability to manage multiple complex priorities simultaneously with strong organization and analytical problem-solving skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Active CPA (or equivalent accounting certification)
  • Experience leading regulatory reporting platform development, testing, and execution with proven governance discipline
  • Deep knowledge of consumer deposits, overdrafts, and related operational systems and controls
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders by synthesizing large data sets into clear insights and recommendations
  • Experience driving enterprise change initiatives that improve data quality, automation, and reporting efficiency
  • Ability to partner effectively with Technology on release management, testing strategy, and end-to-end implementation readiness
  • Experience coaching and developing leaders within a high-performing team environment to sustain strong execution and controls
