Job Summary
Senior Associate Control Manager within Consumer and Community Banking supporting the Deposit 2.0 initiative. Drives end-to-end risk assessments, maps processes, reviews control designs pre-launch, and validates remediation post-implementation. Partners with stakeholders to analyze risks and controls, designs and monitors controls using automation, AI, and data analytics, and produces KPI/KRI reports to support business decisions. Leads or supports control program projects to maintain regulatory compliance, maintains an effective control environment, and collaborates with Legal, Finance, Compliance, and Risk teams. Requires 5+ years in financial services controls/audit/operational risk, strong stakeholder management, data-driven decision making, and the ability to communicate complex risk concepts clearly. Priority skills include risk assessment, control design, incident/root-cause analysis, process mapping, data visualization, and cross-functional collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years working in financial services with controls, audit, quality assurance, or operational risk management
- Ability to independently apply risk management practices and escalate when needed
- Experience with change management and stakeholder engagement
- Strong influence and communication skills, able to present to executives
- Internal stakeholder management and collaboration across Legal, Finance, Compliance, Risk
- Analytical thinking and data-driven decision making
- Knowledge of policy, regulatory requirements, and governance practices
- Experience with data analytics, KPI/KRI reporting, and visualization tools
- Ability to lead or support control program projects ensuring regulatory compliance
- Experience with mapping processes, walkthroughs, and risk/control assessments
- Ability to design and monitor controls using automation and technology
