Job Summary
Residential mortgage, home equity, and consumer loan processing to support underwriters; serves as primary liaison between mortgage originators, attorneys, and customers; ensures timely disclosures and documentation per TRID; reviews and issues loan estimates, disclosures, appraisals, and title commitments; coordinates income/assets documentation, flood insurance, and closing disclosures; assists closer/attorney with closing; monitors compliance with ECOA, HMDA, and regulatory requirements; trains junior processors and ensures loans are ready for underwriter review, closing, and funding; uses loan origination systems effectively and communicates status to borrowers and clients.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of consumer lending experience (helpful)
- 3-5 years of loan processing experience
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office; Encompass preferred)
- Experience with HMDA, Reg B and TILA-RESPA recommended
- Ability to communicate well, organize, problem-solve, and handle difficult situations
