Job Summary
VP-level Strategic Analytics role within JPMorgan Chase's Risk Management and Compliance, focusing on Business Banking risk, account-management analytics, and collection-strategy development. Responsibilities include performing borrower/demographics/risk/profit analyses, generating strategic analytics and recommendations to optimize profitability while minimizing risk, developing and maintaining periodic reporting on metrics (volumes, modification/settlement rates, recovery rates of delinquent accounts), understanding operational processes (underwriting, portfolio management, collections), conducting pre/post-implementation testing, and contributing to audit-ready documentation and responses to regulatory questions. Requires strong quantitative background, proficiency with SAS or similar tools, ability to transform large data into actionable insights, and clear written/verbal communication to present to management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of professional experience related to risk management or other quantitative field of work
- Master's degree with 5+ years of professional experience related to risk management or other quantitative field of work
- Background in statistics, econometric, or other quantitative field
- Advanced understanding of SAS, SAS Enterprise Miner, or other decision tree software
- Ability to query large amounts of data and transform the raw data into actionable management information
- Familiarity with risk analytic techniques and strong problem solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience delivering recommendations to management
