Job Summary
Senior Relationship Banker in Central Manhattan, NY responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of high-value consumer and small business clients, expanding cross-sales opportunities, delivering personalized service in branch, over the phone, and with partners, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes proactive outreach, needs-based solution recommendations, collaboration with Product partners, risk-awareness, and leveraging digital channels to enhance client engagement. Strong communication, relationship-building, and ability to manage a demanding, high-volume client portfolio are required.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience - Required
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent through work experience, training, military service, or education - Preferred
- 5+ years experience selling products and/or services in an incentive-based environment - Required
- 2+ years in financial services with direct experience acquiring new client relationships and developing existing client relationships - Required
- 12+ Months Santander experience related to essential functions - Required
- 12+ Months customer service experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment - Required
- Proven track record in sales and cross-selling products and services
- Proven ability to manage a portfolio of clients effectively
- Proven relationship-building skills and a customer-centric approach
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with partners
- Critical thinking and problem-solving to address customer issues
- Excellent verbal and written communication and influencing skills
- Proficiency with digital tools and technology to enhance customer engagement
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work branch hours including weekends and evenings
- Legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring sponsorship
