Job Summary
PRN Consumer Access Specialist role performing Medicare compliance reviews, generating Advance Beneficiary Notices of Noncoverage, estimating patient financial responsibility, collecting payments or setting up payment plans, coordinating pre-authorizations, verifying insurance eligibility, registering patients, and providing excellent customer service. Requires bilingual English/Spanish, healthcare/revenue-cycle experience, EMR proficiency, and strong knowledge of HIPAA/CMS guidelines. Schedule includes night and weekend shifts in Glendale Heights, IL; pay range $17.99-$28.78/hour.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalency (required)
- Associate degree preferred
- 1+ year customer service experience (preferred)
- 1+ year healthcare experience (preferred)
- 1+ year revenue cycle experience (preferred)
- Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) preferred
- Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Proficiency with Microsoft programs and EMR systems
- Understanding of HIPAA and CMS guidelines
- Ability to follow complex instructions with attention to detail
