Job Summary
Consumables Operations Manager at EquipmentShare leads inside sales and branch operations at the Odessa, TX rental facility. Responsibilities include managing inbound/outbound inside sales (phone, email, walk-in), developing new contractor and commercial accounts, quoting tools, consumables, PPE, and related jobsite supplies; owning the full sales cycle and driving repeat purchasing. Provides branch leadership by hiring, onboarding, coaching, and developing staff; partners with the GM on headcount and performance; oversees day-to-day branch operations, inventory replenishment, and vendor management; ensures on-time order fulfillment and maintains product availability. Owns the branch P&L, analyzes KPIs, and collaborates with vendors to maintain pricing and service levels. Requires demonstrated success in industrial/construction supply sales, experience growing contractor/customer accounts, familiarity with CRM/ERP systems, and a valid driver’s license. The role emphasizes leadership, financial accountability, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated success in industrial supply, construction supply, tooling distribution, or a related B2B sales and distribution environment
- Proven track record building and growing customer accounts in a high-volume, product-intensive sales environment
- Experience leading branch, counter, or distribution operations including inventory, order fulfillment, and vendor management
- P&L ownership or direct financial accountability in a prior role
- Track record of hiring, developing, and holding a team accountable to results
- Proficiency with CRM and ERP or order management systems
- Strong communicator with the ability to manage competing priorities and customer demands in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Preferred: Prior experience at Fastenal, Grainger, White Cap, MSC, HD Supply, or comparable industrial/construction distributor
- Existing contractor or industrial customer relationships in the Odessa market
- Experience with managed inventory or vending programs
- Branch-level P&L responsibility
- Education and Experience: Prior experience in industrial supply, construction supply, tooling distribution, or a related B2B sales and distribution environment
- Experience leading branch, counter, or distribution operations including inventory, order fulfillment, and vendor management
- Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; stand; bend/kneel/lift items above head
