Job Summary
Collaborate with major electric utility systems to inspect rights of ways and identify vegetation incompatible with state and federal regulations. Collect and enter data on handheld devices, follow maps, and use GPS navigation while communicating with landowners regarding necessary work on their properties. Assess all terrain, habitat, and environmental conditions, coordinating with project managers, planners, and vegetation crews. Work in an outdoor, independent environment capable of hiking in rugged terrain and inclement weather. Openings are available in District 51 (Tulare/Porterville) or as a Roving Forester across Northern California if needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- A minimum of 1 year of arboriculture experience
- Possession of a valid driver's license
- A clean driving record (DMV printout required)
- Proficient in operating a 4x4 vehicle on rough and narrow roads
- Willingness to travel
- Capability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards

- Ability to learn to use range finders and job-specific equipment
