Job Summary
Contact property owners and public agencies regarding pruning and removals, conduct tree and brush inventories, and perform hazard tree inspections and evaluations. Plan work for tree contractors, gather and manage field data including species and distance from conductors, and validate data across database systems to ensure accurate reporting. Safeguard employees and the public from hazards, enforce on-the-job safety practices, and service assigned trucks and equipment. Requires a degree in forestry or related field, ISA Arborist Certification within 12 months, and proficiency in GIS and Microsoft Office. Full-time role with company vehicle for work use and comprehensive benefits, located in Reno, NV.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in forestry or related field
- Experience in utility line clearance
- Species identification skills
- Invasive species knowledge
- Knowledge of tree growth rates
- Ability to interact with staff and other stakeholders
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work as a team
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties
- Ability to obtain ISA Arborist Certification within 12 months upon job offer
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to travel and work in rugged terrain and inclement weather
- Proficient in map navigation skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work both independently and as a team
