Job Summary

Contact property owners and public agencies regarding pruning and removals, then conduct tree and brush inventories, hazard tree inspections, and evaluations. Plan work for tree contractors while gathering and managing field data on species, size, and conductor distances. Validate data across database systems to ensure reporting accuracy and safeguard employees and the public from hazards. Enforce on-the-job safety practices and carry materials, tools, and equipment at the work site. Service and maintain company trucks and assigned equipment. Position may require outside travel and on-duty availability during emergencies or natural disasters.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in forestry or related field
  • experience in utility line clearance
  • Species identification skills
  • invasive species knowledge
  • knowledge of tree growth rates
  • Ability to interact with staff and other stakeholders
  • Ability to work both independently and as team
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Superior organization and time management skills
  • Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with employees and vendors
  • Valid driver's license
  • clean driving record
  • Ability to travel and work in rugged terrain and inclement weather
  • Proficient in map navigation skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to obtain ISA Arborist Certification within 12 months upon job offer
