Job Summary
Conduct psychiatric diagnostic evaluations, medication assessments, and treatment planning for students through Counselling Services. Manage ongoing psychiatric care, medication follow-ups, and provide clinical consultation while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Document all care using electronic medical records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and institutional policies. Maintain high standards of ethical decision-making and patient care. This part-time academic year role (9/5/2025 – 5/18/2026) requires 15 hours weekly with 50% on-site presence. Board-certified psychiatrists with an active NY license and 3+ years post-residency experience are sought to support student wellbeing in higher education.
Required Qualifications
- MD from an accredited institution
- Completed Psychiatry Residency
- Active NY medical license
- Federal DEA
- Board-Certified in Psychiatry
- 3+ years post-residency psychiatry
- Must maintain credentials, privileges, and specialty board certification as a condition of employment
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Critical analysis and problem-solving abilities
- Prioritization and time management
- Experience with complex psychiatric disorders in college-aged populations
- On-site Requirement: 50% face-to-face
- Academic year position: 9/5/2025 – 5/18/2026
- Part-time: 15 hrs/week (≈2 days)
