Job Summary
Part-time Consulting Psychiatrist in Geneseo, NY providing diagnostic evaluations, medication assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing psychiatric management for students seen through Counselling Services. 50% on-site; academic year position from 9/5/2025 to 5/18/2026; 15 hrs/week. Requires MD with Psychiatry Residency, NY medical license + Federal DEA, Board-Certified in Psychiatry, and 3+ years post-residency. Responsibilities include conducting psychiatric diagnostic evaluations and medication assessments, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, managing ongoing psychiatric care and follow-ups, providing clinical consultation, ensuring regulatory and institutional compliance, and documenting care in electronic medical records.
Required Qualifications
- MD from an accredited institution
- Completed Psychiatry Residency
- Active NY medical license + Federal DEA
- Board-Certified in Psychiatry
- 3+ years post-residency psychiatry
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Critical analysis and problem-solving abilities
- Prioritization and time management
- Experience with complex psychiatric disorders in college-aged populations
- Multicultural competency (highly preferred)
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (highly preferred)
