Job Summary
Part-time Consulting Psychiatrist to serve as STD certifying provider for Charlie Health. You will review clinical records, conduct telehealth evaluations to assess work-function impairment and medical necessity for Short-term Disability, complete and certify STD forms, and coordinate with clinical teams to resolve information gaps while protecting PHI. You’ll meet service-level timelines for disability paperwork, maintain HIPAA/compliance, and contribute to process improvements. Responsibilities include direct patient care and education for medication management and diagnostic evaluations as needed, along with collaborating with care teams to ensure timely, compliant disability decisions. This role emphasizes remote delivery, cross-state licensure readiness, and strong documentation and coordination to support patients’ disability leave within Charlie Health’s telehealth-enabled behavioral health program.
Required Qualifications
- Must be licensed as an MD (Doctor of Medicine) or DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine)
- Licensed to practice medicine in MO, IN, and KY
- Open to cross-licensure in additional states as needed
- Experience evaluating clinical appropriateness for short-term disability and completion of related paperwork
- 3+ years of experience as an MD or DO; IOP/PHP/IP experience preferred
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with medical staff, patients, clinical support, and administrative staff
- Proficiency with electronic health records and Google Suite/MS Office
