Job Summary
Design recommendations, High Level Design, Low Level Design, and Implementation/Change Management Plans for projects involving ASR1K, ASR9K, Cat9K, and other router/switch platforms. Conduct hands-on traffic generation using Ixia and Spirent tools to validate BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and L2VPN architectures. Review project deliverables and ensure compliance with protocols such as HSRP, VRRP, VLAN, and STP. Leverage Python, Ansible, and REST APIs to automate software programmability and optimize traffic engineering and security configurations.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in product lines like ASR1K, ASR900, CRS, ISR1K, ISR4K, ASR9K, NCS500, NCS5500, NCS5700, NCS2K, NCS4K, NCS4200, c8000 series routers (SpitFire), Cat9K, Cat8K, Cat6K series switches
- Deep technical knowledge and understandings like BGP, OSPF, ISIS, IPv4/IPv6, MPLS, L2VPN and L3VPN, Multicast, Traffic engineering, Security, QoS
- Knowledge of software programmability (Python/ansible/Rest APIs), Automation
Desired Qualifications
- HSRP, VRRP, VLAN, VTP, STP, RSTP, MSTP, Macsec, PFC etc.
- L2 Switching
- Hands-on with Traffic Generator tools like Ixia, Spirent etc.
