Job Summary
Conduct traditional and social media monitoring to identify trends, opportunities, and risks while maintaining stakeholder databases and preparing reports. Research and manage information on elected officials, agencies, and community groups to support client objectives. Develop communications materials including fact sheets, newsletters, and meeting summaries, and coordinate public meeting logistics such as venue arrangements and catering. Participate in community outreach events and facilitate interactions between clients and stakeholders. Provide administrative support for task tracking, mail merges, proofreading, travel planning, and vendor coordination. Work in a hybrid environment with occasional travel (approximately 2-4 weeks annually) to support project delivery across sustainability initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA in Communications, Public Affairs, Journalism, English, Political Science, or a related field
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment
- Adaptable, proactive, and collaborative approach to work
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment with occasional travel (approximately 2-4 weeks annually)
- Experience using social media platforms
- 0 years of relevant professional experience; internships and related experience may be considered
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years of public relations, public affairs, communications, stakeholder engagement, or related experience
- Spanish language fluency
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, or similar design tools
- Experience supporting public outreach, community engagement, or event coordination initiatives
- Local candidates are preferred
