Job Summary
Consultant (P&B Team Leader/Manager reporting line) to join our Tokyo-based team in a full-time, permanent role. Core responsibilities include monthly payroll and bonus calculations for clients, onboarding/offboarding processes, payroll quality initiatives, driving process improvements, client HR liaison activities, and providing helpdesk support for client HR systems. Required skills include HR/payroll experience, strong client-facing communication, high-level Japanese fluency, and proficiency with Word/Excel/PowerPoint; outsourcing experience is a plus. The role focuses on delivering high-quality payroll services, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with client HR teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll operations.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in HR and payroll
- Payroll calculation experience preferred
- Native-level Japanese
- Strong client-facing communication skills
- Good customer service fundamentals
- Strong prioritization and organizational skills
- Familiarity with HRMS/HR tools; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- External outsourcing experience preferred
