Job Summary
Support structured problem solving by breaking down ambiguous questions into well-defined components and translating broad client needs into analytic tasks under senior guidance. Contribute to data analysis and insight generation by cleaning data, conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses, and identifying trends related to cost, utilization, quality, or operational performance. Conduct research and market scans to support strategic recommendations, including reviewing industry benchmarks and synthesizing findings into clear inputs for the team. Develop client-ready deliverables by drafting content, creating charts, and supporting storyline development for executive audiences. Assist with stakeholder engagement activities by preparing for meetings, drafting interview guides, capturing notes, and tracking follow-up actions. This role requires a BA/BS/MS degree with 0-1+ years of experience in consulting or strategy and advanced Excel proficiency. Applicants must obtain a Public Trust clearance and be able to travel up to 25% while adhering to on-site schedules in the DC metro area.
Required Qualifications
- BA, BS, MS, MHA, MBA, or MSBA in the following degree concentrations: Business, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Health Administration, Health Informatics, Health Management, Industrial and Operations Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or similar
- 0-1+ years of professional experience in consulting, strategy, organizational transformation, organizational development, process improvement, workforce strategy, change management, communications, monitoring and evaluation, or emergency response and preparedness
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Ability to create clear, well-organized client deliverables
- Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal)
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
- US Citizenship
- Ability to adhere to on-site work schedules in the DC metro area as directed
- Ability to travel as needed; up to 25%
Desired Qualifications
- Depth in commercial payer functions (e.g., claims/payment operations, payment policy, network strategy, utilization management, value-based care, risk adjustment, payment integrity/FWA)
- Provider-side strategy/ops experience (e.g., revenue cycle, access, care coordination, clinical operations, service line strategy)
- Experience supporting strategy, operating model, and/or performance improvement initiatives for payer/provider organizations
- Exposure to federal health programs, including VA-related work
- SQL/BI tools
