Job Summary

Provide field-based technical support for integrating gender-responsive and gender-transformative approaches into ICT Clubs and extracurricular activities across five assigned schools. Deliver on-site guidance to teachers, mentors, and school leaders to strengthen girls' participation, leadership, and confidence in digital learning. Co-design mentorship programs, STEM workshops, and innovation boot camps while identifying and preparing female role models. Monitor implementation, document achievements and challenges, and submit school-specific and consolidated reports to the Lead Gender Expert. This three-month assignment runs from August to November 2026 for a Supporting Gender Specialist role within UNESCO's Tanzania project.

Required Qualifications

  • A university degree in Gender Studies, Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies or a related field
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in gender equality, girls' empowerment and gender-transformative programming
  • Demonstrated experience integrating gender into education, ICT, STEM, youth or community development programmes
  • Experience working with schools, adolescents, teachers and community stakeholders
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Kiswahili languages

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working with government institutions, development partners or international organizations
