Job Summary
Consultant Town Planner with responsibilities spanning planning and development management, technical reporting, project coordination, business development, and stakeholder collaboration. Key duties include managing major development applications, providing planning advice, producing Planning Statements and Design and Access Statements, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, supporting project delivery, ensuring health and safety, and contributing to commercial tenders. Essential skills include knowledge of UK planning policy and legislation, experience with Development Consent Orders (DCO) and/or Transport and Works Act Orders (TWAO), Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) procedures, strong client-facing communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. The role supports flexible hybrid working from multiple UK offices and involves engaging with clients, stakeholders, and project teams on energy, transport, water, and other major infrastructure projects.
Required Qualifications
- Licentiate Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or equivalent professional town planning organisation and working towards full accreditation.
