Job Summary
Conduct Technical Due Diligence (TDD) projects for infrastructure, industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, logistics sites, commercial buildings, and data centers. Perform technical reviews of building, mechanical, and electrical systems; execute site visits and inspections; review design documents and specifications; and support CAPEX and OPEX assessments. Identify technical, safety, and environmental risks, provide improvement recommendations, prepare due diligence reports, and participate in client meetings. Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, and vendors while supporting project managers. Requires 3+ years of experience in building design, mechanical or electrical systems, facility management, or asset maintenance, with native-level Japanese and English communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in building design, mechanical or electrical systems, industrial facilities, facility management, asset maintenance, or related disciplines
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: Design engineering, Construction management, Facility operations and maintenance, Commissioning, Owner's engineering, Technical consulting
- Experience preparing technical reports and documentation
- Native-level Japanese proficiency
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
Desired Qualifications
- Experience conducting Technical Due Diligence (TDD)
- Real estate due diligence experience
- Experience working on EPC projects
- Professional qualifications such as: Registered Architect, Building Services Engineer, Chief Electrical Engineer, Construction Management Engineer
- Experience in chemical manufacturing, oil & gas, energy, waste management, or recycling industries
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate technical risks objectively
- Ability to structure and communicate complex technical issues clearly and logically
- Strong interpersonal skills and an interest in working directly with clients
- Self-motivated individual with a proactive approach to learning and professional development
- Interest in sustainability, infrastructure, and the energy transition
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and international project teams
