Consultant - Supply Chain (Mexico)

Job Summary
Investigate supply methods including transportation, packaging, source of supply, and material flow for new or existing suppliers. Develop, maintain, and review concepts with suppliers, customers, and other departments while performing quantitative and qualitative evaluations considering impact to logistics costs and structure. Initiate and implement process improvements through innovative creative ideas, coordinate scheduling activities using advanced planning systems, and assess inventory needs related to Materials/Resource Planning. Monitor supply and demand misalignment, identify material shortages, and react to material plans that do not meet customer requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional groups across shifts to resolve bottlenecks, parts shortages, machine maintenance, and production capacity issues, ensuring timely shipments and preparing work orders as required.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of Logistics Experience (3PL and MP&L) in Automotive, Manufacturing, or other related industries
- 10+ years of experience with forecasting, production planning and overall production processes related to supply chain
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, or other related fields
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills and ability to communicate effectively with client customers at all organizational levels
- Strong oral and written communication and documentation skills, including presentation skills (MS Excel, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, etc.)
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
- Experience with using or implementing supply chain solutions (ERP, planning solutions, sourcing solutions)
- Experience leading small teams or delivering projects or programs
- Experience prioritizing tasks and managing assignments in a collaborative team environment
- ERP and SAP experience required
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelors' Degree in Business Administration or related, preferred
- Previous Consulting Experience Preferred
