Job Summary
Geologist and Geophysicist roles at Halliburton (Landmark Software & Services) in Mumbai, India. Requires a Master’s or PhD degree in Geology or Geophysics with 3-5 years of related experience in E&P or service industries. Responsibilities include interpreting 2D/3D/4D seismic datasets, generating structural and stratigraphic maps, integrating seismic, well log, geological and petrophysical data, developing geological models, conducting quantitative interpretation studies (e.g., seismic inversion, AVO), and supporting prospect generation and maturation. Strong English communication and proficiency with geoscience software such as Petrel, Decision Space, or Kingdom are required. Reports to the Team Lead – G&G and involves collaboration on project delivery and client-focused service, with responsibilities spanning data analysis, interpretation, and workflow execution.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in engineering, geoscience, computer science or business with a minimum of 3 years of experience
- Master’s or PhD degree in Geology or Geophysics from a reputed University or Institution
- 3-5 years of related experience as a Geologist in E&P or service industry
- Proficiency in industry standard Geoscience software like Petrel, Decision Space or Kingdom
