Job Summary
Consultant/Specialist Ophthalmologist to provide comprehensive ophthalmic care in a Dubai multispecialty hospital. Responsibilities include diagnosing and managing eye conditions, performing ophthalmic surgical procedures (including cataract surgery and other microsurgical interventions), conducting comprehensive eye examinations with OCT, slit-lamp, and fundoscopic evaluation, and managing chronic conditions such as glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy. Collaborate with optometrists, endocrinologists, neurologists, and other specialists; provide pre- and post-operative care; maintain accurate medical records; participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives; ensure adherence to international ophthalmology guidelines and UAE regulations. Licensing and relocation support will be provided for DOH/DHA MOH licensing.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years post speciality
- American Board of Ophthalmology
- UK CCT / FRCOphth / MRCOphth
- Royal College Certification (Canada)
- Australian Fellowship
- Arab Board in Ophthalmology
- MS / MD / DNB / FCPS Ophthalmology or equivalent recognised specialist qualification
- Licensing DOH / DHA / MOH licensing
