Job Summary
Support the delivery of advanced data analytics advice by translating business questions into analytical solutions and performing in-depth research to inform department strategy. Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets using SQL and PySpark to uncover trends, then build interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI or Tableau. Drive and execute data projects aligned with CIBC strategy while conducting impact analysis to provide feedback on problems with recommended Business Intelligence solutions. Manage and engage teams across the enterprise to deliver strategic change, articulating complex technology solutions to diverse disciplinary backgrounds. Spend 2-3 days per week on-site in Toronto while working remotely on other days.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years in data analytics, business intelligence, or related roles
- at least 2 years of experience with PowerBI
- at least 4 years SQL experience
- a degree in a quantitative field (i.e. mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics, engineering, physics, business) or equivalent experience
- the "Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate" certification
- You must have at least 2 years of experience with PowerBI; coupled with at least 4 years of SQL experience
- You need to be legally eligible to work at the location(s) specified above
- must have a valid work or study permit
Desired Qualifications
- Python and Microsoft Copilot Studio experience
- worked within Capital Markets/Equities
- Advanced degree is an asset (i.e. MMA, MBAN, MSc, MA, MBA)
- You have the "Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate" certification
